In either case, a cat with any white in the coat is called parti-color. She doesn’t allow anyone but me to even pick her up. She is a beautiful soul and very loyal so if she way catnapped then I am sure she is trying to get away. She is so tiny and energetic that no one would guess she is over 12 yrs old. My little calico/ tortiehas been missing since 6/26/18. It has been my observation that in the cat world tortoiseshell (known in the US as calico) cats are always female, while all ginger cats are male. Tortoiseshell cats will have no white in their coats.
